Day Seven

DAY 7: A K-POP SONG THAT MAKES YOU CRY

I am one of those people who cries over the smallest things. I don't mean that I cry over petty things; Petty is different from what I mean by 'the smallest things.' I don't cry over a broken nail or a failed quiz, but I do cry over songs, all the time. In the past month there have been four K-Pop songs that made me cry.  (Well, one doesn't count because I cried more over the characters' acting in the MV)

I'm a rebel and I don't want to pick just one. \o/ Get a box of tissues ready, if you're the kind of person who can easily connect to a song.

1. Don't Love by FT Island (사랑하지마요)

Hongki's voice is like a crying violin; it has so much emotion that you don't even need the English translations to tell you that he's singing about his heart breaking into a million pieces. His voice was enough for me to shed a few tears; but the English translations on the screen of the video made me literally bawl my eyes out.
My favorite line: Don't love, goodbye always comes.

2. Cold Hearted Man by TRAX (가슴이 차가운 남자)
When I loaded this video early this year (because Heenim is in it), I didn't get to watch it. At that time, Heenim wasn't my favorite member (that'd be an understatement) and I hated his beggar hair. So the first few seconds put me off, and I didn't give it a chance. (Regret, regret) Recently, I was researching on Heenim videos (Because, well, he's kind of one of my favorites now, lol XD) and I came across the video of him singing and playing the piano on an episode of Family Outing. I fell in love with the song and researched on it, and I realized that it was the very same video Heenim was in back in January. I watched it, and I cried. I think one of the main reasons why I cried was because he was crying. He rarely shows emotion, and the feelings he was showing in the video were painful to watch... because it was around the same time Hangeng slapped a big fat lawsuit on SM. Now, I don't know about you, but those tears in the video, to me, are very very real.

3.여행Goodbye (A Short Journey) by Super Junior

Kangin isn't my bias in Super Junior, but the moment his voice came on in the track, I couldn't stop the tears from flowing down my cheeks. Super Junior has gone through so much in the past year, and Kangin was one of those that caused everyone so much sadness. He made mistakes, and he's had to make amends for those mistakes by not being around for activities. I miss him terribly, and I know that he's just another member to add to the MIA list, but he's different. Kangin wants to be around. He wants to be onstage singing and dancing with his members, he longs to witness another sapphire blue sea. His heart is in Super Junior, and this song is proof that he treasures the other members so much, and vice versa. The collaboration between Eunhyuk and Donghae for this song was amazing; It's like they both understood the kind of emotion they wanted to allay, and they were able to make the music and lyrics come together so beautifully. *sigh* This is my favorite song from the repackaged album, without a doubt.
Favorite lines:
Today when the sun sets and the moon rises again, it's still the same.
When I did whatever I wanted and was foolish, you who embraced all of that are really precious.
